Hello! My name is Nanda Amalia Hastuti, you can call me Nanda. I am a student from the Accounting Information Systems study program. I am an alumnus of SMK Negeri 1 Bantul, better known as Sabavoscho, in 2020.
On this occasion, I would like to share my story with all of you about my experience of collaborating in vocational school. Have you ever heard of Vosty Fest? Vosty Fest is an abbreviation of Sabavoscho Party Festival where the event was held to celebrate the graduating class of 2020.
Vosty Fest was held on December 14 2020, at the Pyramid Building on Jalan Prangtritis. This event is not open to the public, so participants who can take part in the event are only friends from the class of 2020. Before the event takes place, there should be a committee formed from each department. Getting off topic, at my school there are 7 majors, namely Accounting, Office Administration, Sharia Banking, Online Business & Marketing, Multimedia, Computer and Network Engineering, and Software Engineering. So that the formation of the committee was taken from each department in the amount of 2 people.
Representatives from my department are taken from the class president and vice class president, but those who don't join the committee still help each other and participate so that the event runs smoothly later. In terms of preparation, everything is under control, starting from building rental, tickets, guest stars, decorations, to the event rundown. However, on the 1st day the event was to be held, then everyone realized that there was one thing they had forgotten.
Dress code. Yup, that's right. One of the reasons the conflict started. Each department has been given the opportunity to propose the dress code color that will be used at the Vosty Fest event later. Since there are many majors at my school, making decisions is very difficult. Each department maintains its opinion and does not want to budge. There was even hostility between departments, and even the event committee was overwhelmed to deal with it.
So that to reach a final decision, all departments are gathered to negotiate until they reach a middle point. The event committee proposed that the dress code colors be monochrome and nude on the grounds that this color combination is currently a trend. Finally it was agreed that the dress code colors for the Vosty Fest event were monochrome and nude colors.
Arriving on the day of the event, all the problems and conflicts had melted away with the resounding music. Everyone celebrated together, laughing and joking as if yesterday's problems didn't exist. Until the end of the event, we all took photos to capture the happy moment at that time. That's the story of my collaboration with friends from different departments, thank you.
